Why We Recommend Shopping Alone
We are nearing the end of 2019 and have noticed a rise in brides shopping alone. It isn't traditional but a lot of brides are shying away from the traditional. Going shopping alone has many advantages and we highly recommend it!
It’s all About the bride!
When you go wedding dress shopping alone it's all about you. The consultant can work with you one on one and you have their full attention. There is no entourage to please or multiple opinions being hurled your way. The consultant can work with you in peace without other throwing in suggestions you probably already said you don't like.
Working around busy schedules.
If you have a large bridal party or your mother, cousins, aunts, and sister want to come to the appointment that is a lot of schedules to coordinate and chances are not everyone will be free at the same time. Instead of trying to round everyone up like herding cats it’s just easier to go alone.
No one feels left out.
Weddings are a very emotional time and so is the planning process. There are so many feeling involved! If you go shopping alone no one gets FOMO or feels like they are being left out because you left everyone out! For your own sanity and for their benefit you can only bring so many people with you to your bridal appointments. How do you choose between family and friends? this way you don’t have to?
You make the final decision.
Since you don't have the weight of it being the only weekend your mother and father are in town to find the right dress you have time to make your decision. You can make your appointment on whatever days are good for you and make up your own mind. Sometimes people make the decision for us or sway us from what we know is the dress we have always wanted. when you shop alone this isn't a factor. The only opinion that matters is yours and the only person you have to please is yourself.
your dress is a surprise to everyone!
We love surprises and the fact that not a soul has seen your dress and you get to surprise everyone is fun! Your bridesmaids get to be surprised as well as your family and friends and of course the groom. A big reveal is so great, and it gives you something extra to be excited about. A little secret only you know about.
