With tons of gowns to choose from, hundreds of fabrics and endless styles, there’s no way shopping for your wedding dress doesn't get a little overwhelming! That’s why I've asked our Nikki's consultants their tips on choosing the perfect dress!

Take care in who you bring to your appointment.

"Shopping by yourself can be a blessing because, too many opinions can sway the most important opinion, Yours"! Nikki's consultant Hailey stresses the idea that too many opinions can overwhelm a bride almost as much as too many options can!

Choose the dress that makes you feel the most beautiful.

Countless times brides are stuck on the gown they have always imagined themselves wearing on their wedding day. When in reality the perfect dress is really the one, they feel most beautiful in. Our lead consultant Rose has brides try on a few different silhouettes so brides can get an idea of how they look in different ones. Some brides who never thought of themselves as a ball gown kind of girl fall in love with them! " I ask 3 questions, can you picture wearing this dress on your wedding day, is this the dress hanging on the back of the door as you get ready, and can you see yourself walking towards your fiancé in this gown"? Rose ask key questions to make her brides think.

Go with the style that best reflects your personality.

3D florals and sparkles may have been all the rage at fashion week, but if you’ve always been more of a minimalist bride, stay true to yourself. This way, “you know you love it on your wedding day and in 50 years from now looking at your wedding photos,” says consultant Bree.

If I said you couldn't have this dress how would you feel?

Sometimes a bride needs to think about what it would be like to not have so many choices. If you start to narrow things down and a bride starts to freak out about gowns you are taking away, chances are she has found her dress! " Ring your bell girl, it’s time to say yes to your dress". - Annette one of our fabulous consultants tells her bride when she doesn't want to see her dress go.

When in doubt, go with the fuller style.

There are a few reasons why you may not be able to decide on a wedding dress. “If you’re stuck between different silhouettes, we recommend opting for the fuller style. You can wear a fitted gown on most occasions–but when else will you have the chance to wear a big, princess dress?” Hailey explains that to many brides seize the opportunity to be a princess for a day.
